10 Ways to Use the Rainbow Ladybug Bean Bags from Target:
- Build a large letter L. Then see what other letters you could build.
- Line them up in rainbow order.
- Put different color pieces of construction paper on the ground. Sort the ladybugs onto the correct color paper.
- Grab a shower liner from Dollar Tree, or a large piece of paper. Write letters, numbers, or shapes on it. Lay the liner, or paper, on the ground. Have your students throw the bean bags at it and identify whatever letter, number, or shape the bean bag lands closest to.
- Have your students sit in a circle and pass the bean bags around. Play music while they are doing this. When the music stops, have the children holding the bean bags say what color their ladybug is.
- Have your students stand apart and toss the bean bag back and forth to each other.
- Put foam number stickers on the back of the ladybugs and have your students put them in numerical order.
- Hide the ladybugs around the room and have your students find one. After they have found a ladybug have them find a friend who has the same color ladybug as they do.
- Write letters, numbers, or draw shapes on small green paper plates (leaves). Place them on the floor with a ladybug sitting on top. Have your student pick a ladybug and pick it up. Then have them identify the letter, number, or shape that is on the paper plate, aka leaf.
- Do a 5 senses activity with the ladybugs:
- How do the bean bags smell?
- What do the bean bags look like?
- What do the bean bags feel like?
- What do you hear when you press on the bean bag?
- Is a bean bag something that is safe to eat?
